Process Safety & Hazardous Areas

Make process risks, hazardous-area controls and chemical-handling requirements easier to understand in the environment where they apply.

Working in ATEX zones or with hazardous substances requires people to recognise risks that may not be immediately visible, including ignition sources, vapour, pressure release, incompatible chemicals and gas alarms.
A video can show zone boundaries, permitted equipment, access restrictions, required PPE, handling and storage requirements, spill controls and the correct response to a leak or alarm. Using your own installation, signage and equipment helps employees and contractors connect formal requirements with the conditions they will actually encounter at work.

The material can support contractor induction, operator training and refresher communication in controlled process areas. Content should be developed and approved with the relevant HSE, process safety and operations teams and kept aligned with current site procedures.

What the video can cover:

  • ATEX and other hazardous-area requirements.
  • Zone boundaries and restricted equipment.
  • Chemical handling, transfer and storage.
  • Ignition-source control.
  • Required PPE and access rules.
  • Spill, leak, alarm and emergency actions.

Typical applications:

  • Induction for ATEX-classified production or storage areas.
  • Chemical-handling and transfer procedures.
  • Safe entry to process areas with restricted equipment rules.
  • Hazardous-substance storage and handling.
  • Spill response and alarm actions in chemical or process plants.

How it supports your training:
The video connects written procedures and safety requirements with the actions people need to take in the workplace. It can be used before entry, during contractor induction, in operator refresher training or as part of a wider process-safety communication programme.
